Item Description
5.75" tall very heavy and very ornate award badge of the highest quality with reverse name "R. Stoll N.Y. / Sterling". Weight class and 1889 date in blue enamel with group name in silver letters on blue enamel. This was the organized body for amateur athletes but their last year of existence as on January 1, 1890 this group merged into the Amateur Athletic Union. The group originally formed in 1879 with seven athletic clubs. Unique and NM. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
