Item Description
1-5/16" diameter and a full 1/8" thick bronze pair of medals with obverse high relief portraits, each man's name and title around, and tiny issuer text "F.B. Smith & Hartmann N.Y." Reverse wreath on each encloses "The Great International Prize Fight Between Heenan & Sayers For The Championship Of The World Fought April 1860". Also known in white metal but these are more costly (and likely fewer produced) in bronze. Historic and NM. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
