Item Description
All four are 1.25" real photos. What they have in common is a W&H back paper with larger text "Try On Time Starch, Yeast And Soda". Tonal contrast on all four is low, but on close inspection (magnifier helps greatly) all details and text remain crisp and visible. First is "Johnny Griffin" which is Muchinsky book example #8. Second is "Jack Dempsey" (the first one) which is unlisted in Muchinsky. Third is "Solly Smith" also unlisted in Muchinsky. Fourth is "Spike Sullivan" which is Muchinsky book example #7. Border is different than the other three and two tiny black specks embedded in cello. All have high gloss and little surface wear but given weak images we will grade as VG. All are rare and among very first boxing pin-backs. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
