Item Description
2-3/16". This was first pictured and promoted in the January, 1949 Chicago issued publication titled TV Forecast which provided scheduling information to Chicago viewers. The text of the article references the Sunday Sun-Times newspaper as well as TV channel WBKB. The TV program featured Don and Vera Ward reading some of the "Funny's" from the newspaper and the article offered this membership button. In addition to Superman, pictured are a parrot along with the comic characters Nancy and Sluggo. Silver luster wear to metal back and a few tiny oxidation dots. Front is totally bright, clean and w/high gloss. Virtually no surface wear visible even upon magnification. Displays NM. High grade example of a rare button we have only offered a few times in our 54 years.
