Item Description
4.5x6" waxed paper for the classic ©1940 Superman Inc. card set. ACC# R154. Center features image of Superman, border design includes illustrations of prizes, mostly Superman-related including a sweatshirt, cut-out book, tie, belt, etc. Text reads "Join The Superman Supermen Of America Club And Compete For These Valuable Prizes." Also as part of wrapper design is a Membership Application coupon. Five of these coupons were needed to order the club ring or badge along w/10¢. Coupon appears partially on top and bottom margins as is often the case w/this wrapper. All over lt. creases as originally folded. Tiny hole just above top left corner of main illustration panel. Still retains a bright and clean appearance. Fine. Great wrapper for one of the most popular gum card sets of all time. David Barsalou Collection.
