Item Description
14.75" tall solid painted plaster statue w/flat back. 1940s. Unlike some of these statues that were painted in odd colors, this example has been nicely painted in Superman's correct colors w/mouth and eye paint accents (and the addition of green shoulders). These statues usually feature Superman's "S" symbol painted on, but this example features raised and incised shield symbol which has been nicely highlighted. Scattered paint flaking to green of shoulder and base as well as some paint wear along edges of cape and hands/boots. Fine/VF. Rare and first we've offered of this variety in our 54 years.
