Item Description
5.5x8.5" booklet given to children "By Santa Claus At Macy's - Christmas 1940." ©1940 R.H. Macy & Co., Inc. Storybook format, w/double page spread, each spread w/story based on letter of the alphabet. Featured characters include Babar the Elephant, Donald Duck (also pictured on front cover) and his Nephews, Krazy Kat, Ignatz, Offisa Pup, Little Lulu and Uncle Sam. Letter "S" has features great image of Superman flying towards city in an early publication appearance outside of comics. Cover has some scattered aging/staining and is Fine overall. Pages have some age toning but are o/w clean and VF. Rare premium booklet. We have only offered a few in our 54 years, the last being over a decade ago.
