Item Description
14-7/8x21.5" heavy artboard features pen and ink w/inkwash original art for one-page comic that was published in the March 15, 1969 issue of TV Century 21 newsprint comic magazine/newspaper featuring comics based on popular TV series. Art is 1969 Kayro-Vue Productions. Page features 11 panels and shows an exhausted Herman Munster setting up wake-up call which he proceeds to sleep through. Lily Munster chases him as he runs out the door in his nightshirt. Grandpa Munster develops exploding bed alarm clock that Herman tests, only to wreck the house and bring the wrath of Lily down upon Grandpa. Art features paste-over, hand-lettered dialog balloons, one of which is missing in second panel. Large top margin has pencil production notations and bottom margin also has notations. Artboard has some corner tip wear but art remains clean and Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the issue this art was produced for. Vintage 1960s Munsters comic art rarely comes up for auction.
