Item Description
1.5" w/union bugs on curl. Nearly 10,000 attended this event at the University of California Berkeley featuring Stokely Carmichael who was transitioning from his lead role at SNCC to the position of "Honorary Prime Minister" of the BPP. Dated "Oct. 29, 1966" along lower edge, only two weeks after Huey Newton and Bobby Seale founded the BPP. Light even fading. Otherwise only trivial surface wear. Extremely Fine. A historic Bay Area button combining the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and BPP.
