Item Description
7x10.5" mailing envelope contains complete parts for game issued by Wheaties in 1936. This is not regular mailing envelope but special promotional envelope w/promotional text on front noting how to obtain premium. Envelope shows scattered handling wear and 2.25" edge split. Fine. Rare. 20x26.5" map/gameboard is folded as issued and has facsimile letter on back from Armstrong that mentions enclosed talisman which could be used "As A Watch Fob/Neck Piece Or Pocket Piece." Map/gameboard features Southeast Asia w/illustrations of native people and large image of talisman. Lightly aged and VF/Exc. overall. Complete w/3x3" cardboard spinner and set of six 1.5" tall die-cut cardboard markers, each featuring different Asian-inspired image (all unpunched). Exc. to NM. 1.25" dia. brass talisman has much bright luster. Exc. This is one of a handful of examples we've seen 100% complete and much nicer than typically found. Classic Jack Armstrong item.
