Item Description
Kellogg's items issued 1939-40 are manual w/envelope, creed, "Squadron Of Peace" Ensign and Lt. Commander metal badges , "Honor Coin", and 17" long periscope (missing one of two small generic mirrors).  Lt. Commander badge is very rare as it was difficult to obtain, resulting in few being awarded. Items issued in 1942 are "Catapult Bomber" w/rubber tipped cardboard dart (Post Toasties/Grape-Nut Flakes" and 8.5x11" portrait issued by Red Goose Shoes. These two premiums are rare and we have only offered a few of each in our 54 years. Both are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Items overall have general wear and age. Mostly Fine to VF. An incredible grouping and in instant collection for this comic strip character created by Frank Victor Martinek. From the strip, Winslow would also branch out into radio, film and comic books.
