Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1961-62 Fleer basketball card set marked Fleer's initial foray into the basketball card market. With no basketball cards having been issued at all since 1957-58, this highly desirable set contains many key rookie cards, including those of all-time greats: Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. In addition, it also marked popular second year issues for 1957 rookies, Bill Russell and Bob Cousy. Boston Celtics. Second year card. Russell was an 11-time World Champion, 5-time NBA MVP, 12-time All-Star and 4-time Rebounding Champ. Bill was elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1975.
