Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1980-81 Topps basketball card set contains 264 different individual players on 176 different panels of three. Perforation lines separate each three card panel, although the value of each card will be greatly dimished if one chooses to separate into three smaller individual cards. Larry Bird - Boston Celtics. Magic Johnson - Los Angeles Lakers. Although individual rookie cards can be found featuring Larry Bird and Magic Johnson within this wildly popular set, by far, the most highly desirable card is the three card panel which contains, Bird, Magic and a third all-time great, Julius Erving. Bird was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998, while Earvin was selected in 2002. Centering issues as well as scattered black ink between white panels both plague this condition sensitive set, making high-grade examples such as the one presented here few and far between. CSG subgrades are: Centering 7.5, Corners 9.5, Edges 8, Surface 8.5.
