Item Description
3.5. No maker but w/faint union back stamp. This variety is w/o the 1952 date directly above the team image. Also the team name is in a gray panel, the other variety is w/o this, name is just on the cream bkg. However both feature the same great team images. The 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers stormed through the National League regular season, winning the pennant with a record of 96-57 under manager Chuck Dressen. The Dodgers were led by a quartet of future National Baseball Hall of Famers on offense: Duke Snider (OF), Pee Wee Reese (SS), Jackie Robinson (2B - back row, third from left) and Roy Campanella (C - middle row, fifth from right). Brooklyn would take on the mighty New York Yankees in the 1952 World Series, falling just short of a championship when they lost the seventh and decisive game. Glossy, Exc.
