Item Description
Bound 4x5.5" hardcover volume contains four Fast-Action books published by Dell Publishing in 1941. These include - Donald Duck Takes It On The Chin, Dick Tracy And The Frozen Bullet Murders, Dumbo The Flying Elephant and Smilin' Jack And The Border Bandits. Character names are noted in gilt lettering on spine, along w/name of Geo. T Delacorte Jr., who founded Dell Publishing in 1921. Inside front page has "Dell Publishing Co., Inc. - Library Copy - Do Not Remove" inkstamps and each Fast-Action book has had cover modification for ease of use in a bound volume of this nature and has white cloth tape on inner binding as assembled. Scattered edge/corner tip wear w/heavy corner crease to Donald Duck's front cover and corner tip off first page. Pages have tanned w/age and have slightly brittle edges. However binding remains tight and cover shows some lt. edge/corner tip wear. Fine overall. This is one of five known file copy sets (each featuring different titles) and is the only copy extant w/this selection of titles.
