Item Description
Certificate and membership kits for this club were issued in many different configurations from 1939 to 1965 (see following lots). Lot includes envelope w/"Supermen Of America" return address and handwritten recipient name/address and Uncle Sam World War II inkstamp. Envelope shows handling wear w/scattered edge tears and 2.5" flap split. VG/Fine. Certificate is version w/1941 copyright date. Typed member name/address (which does not match that on envelope) on provided lines. Folded as mailed w/some lt. corner tip wear. VF. All other pieces are not dated but were used in kits from the early 1940s. Welcome letters were printed in different colors and on different paper stock. This is letter w/black printing. Moderate aging w/1/8" tear at upper right. Fine/VF. "Superman's Secret Code" decoder folder measures 5.5x8.75". Folded as issued and unused. Exc. Comes w/1.25" dia. club pinback button.
