Item Description
32x48.25" molded thin plastic in very high relief has "Batman" comic book logo at top w/Batman and Robin just below swinging out on ropes at left side w/"WOW!" word balloon to their left. Both figures head toward 30.5" long Batmobile which is just below center. Upper right has text "Send For Your Official Batmobile Scale Model Hobby Kit By Aurora - See Back Of These Burry's Packages For Details". ©1966 NPP Inc. Bottom has 7.5x31" wide "Batmobile" text. Surface has moderate scattered spotting and marks to main sign text as well as edge wear including cracks and a few small chips, notably to upper left corner, lower right corner of "Batman" comic book title/logo and bottom right corner. Notable cracks include 2" crack at top of letter "M" in "Batmobile," 1" and 2" edge cracks at front of Batmobile, 2.25" crack on Batmobile tailfin, 1.75" crack between Batman's heel and Batmobile cockpit canopy and three approx. 1" cracks to points along top edge. Pin hole at top center, to right of Batman's face in "Batman" comic book logo. VG overall though w/some degree of expected wear as display was of a fragile nature when it was made 50+ years ago. Display had very limited distribution, being produced only for major grocery stores in larger cities. Simply put, one of the nicest Batman in-store promotional items ever produced.
