Item Description
Custom 11x14" matte contains glossy photo print of a young Elvis Presley (1935-1977) above 1.25x2.75" opening that contains clipped piece of paper w/Presley's signature in black ink. Autograph bears "3/1960" date above, indicating Presley signed this sometime around his March 2, 1960 return to the US after his military service in Germany. The train that carried him from New Jersey to Tennessee was mobbed all the way, and Presley was called upon to appear at scheduled stops to please his fans. Shortly thereafter he began work on his return album, Elvis Is Back! Slip has two 1/8" to .25" chips along top edge, which slightly impacts date, and paper shows handling wear. VG/Fine overall, but Presley's signature remains distinct and totally legible and still displays well as matted (pencil note inside matte notes that paper has been tacked to matte and can be removed w/application of heat if so desired). Ready for framing and would make for a great display. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
