Item Description
9-7/8x13.75x1.5" deep box contains complete parts for game made in Spain for the Spanish market by Falomir, 1980s. This is the first version of this game made by Falomir, featuring a direct Masters Of The Universe game, which received pushback from Mattel Spain as it was apparently unlicensed. Lid features He-Man riding Battle Cat into battle against Skeletor, which was changed for second version (see following lot), w/He-Man changed to look more like Conan the Barbarian, who rides a generic tiger while battling less armored, leopard print loincloth-wearing and hooded blue-skinned man. 18-1/8x26.75" thin cardboard gameboard featuring He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Zodac and Battle Cat as well as Skeletor, Beast Man and Mer-Man. Castle Grayskull looms at upper right and center of board features large image of He-Man's Power Sword (for which the game is partially named). The second version featured a drastically different gameboard. Gameboard is folded as issued and NM. Pair of plastic cups, small die and small plastic player discs held in center well of cardboard tray insert. Box has some corner tip/edge wear/creasing. Fine/VF. Interesting foreign game (w/no American equivalent). Only example we've ever offered.
