Item Description
1-3/8x1-1/2" in original brass frame. Hake #3008. Missing original thin horizontal brass bars that held the T-bar pin and catch at top and bottom of reverse. Flake of missing paint just left of portrait and some typical tiny cracks and tiny dots of missing paint at extreme outer edges visible on reverse. Glass front has minor diagonal scratching at 12 o'clock in reflected light. Technically VG, but displaying well above grade. Of the four examples known to us all have various condition issues and none feature this exceptional blue background. A preeminent rarity and easily the most impressive Van Buren badge.
