Item Description
7.5" tall painted bisque figure of an African American woman holding a club and a "Votes For Women" sign. Base front reads "Suffragette." Figure is a harsh satirical representation of African American Suffrage activist Sojourner Truth. Finely detailed with wide eyes, open mouth, wrinkles and pleats in her attire. Lightly aged. No cracks or chips. VF. This largest variety is much scarcer than the 6" variety- see next lot.
