Item Description
1.75" w/W&H back paper. Cartoon of tuxedo clad shriner in fez using reins to steer his galloping gator from the "Morocco Temple" (founded 1888) in Jacksonville, Florida to Washington for the 1900 Imperial Session. Slogan reads "From The Hot Sands Of Florida/Bound For Washington." This event featured members from 82 temples who marched in a parade reviewed by President McKinley. Small, faint barely seen tiny gray dots on left and upper extreme edge. High gloss and Exc. One of only six known to us and among the very best golden age non-political buttons. Alan Weinberg Collection.
