Item Description
2" dia. Numerous silvering dots off mirror but still 97% complete. One of the very earliest advertising pocket mirrors by Whitehead & Hoag made entirely of silvered glass mirror encased by 100% celluloid frame. Curl names W&H plus "Pat. Nov 2 1897". On the mirror side, the outer rim is normally a tin collet but on this the rim is rolled celluloid forming an edge to hold the glass in place.  Issued by "Oscar A. Fow & Son" located in the famous Reading Terminal Market, featuring long horn steer image. Cello is NM. One seen in our 54 years. Alan Weinberg Collection.
