Item Description
1.25" cello with tin underside and working clicker. By Whitehead & Hoag, as is 1904 Atlantic City clicker #675, but this curl carries text "Pat. Dec. 6, 1904". Gorgeous depiction of the first Neptune's Casino opened in 1904 and operating on the Beach Boardwalk for only 22 months before burning down June 22, 1906. Shows view from the ocean of many bathers in the water, w/three staircases from beach up to massive building with five American flags across the roof tops and two floors of windows and verandas below tall domed arches. A tiny .25" ripple line in the cello barely seen as made. Superb color. One seen. NM. Alan Weinberg Collection.
