Item Description
1.25" w/W. F. Miller back paper. TR and Washington are shown at their historic Oct. 16, 1901 White House dinner, the first time an African American was invited to dine at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The generic depiction of Washington, casually seated, sharing a drink w/TR from a bottle of liquor prominently placed on the table indicates this design was produced as a satirical 1904 campaign item. Typical light surface wear under magnification from minor use. Exc. Superb construction, full gloss and displaying beautifully. Of the highest historical importance and infrequently offered.
