Item Description
“Comic Monthly” was the first monthly newsstand comic publication and reprinted 1921 bw daily strips. Published by Embee Distributing Co. This lot includes Volume 1, No. 1, 4 and 7. Titles for those issues are: “Polly & Her Pals, Barney Google and Little Jimmy.” Published January, April and July of 1922 by Embee Distributing Co.. Issues all have obvious wear with first issue having surface paper lifts, scattered moisture staining, insect damage and spine wear. Issue No. 4 has front and back cover detached. No. 7 has 4.5” spine split and .5” tear on right-hand margin along with inking on cover. Corner chips. First two issues in lot are Good, last issue is Good/VG.
