Item Description
1.5" w/tin covered back stamped "Balto. Badge & Nov. Co." Fixed vertical pin. Curl reads "Patented June 27th 1899." McKinley sits in presidential chair w/a map across his lap showing "Atlantic" and "Pacific" oceans flanking the continent. Female figures represent Lady Liberty holding flag and Justice holding balanced scales w/scroll reading "Pro Expansion." Several phrases in Latin and a golden sunburst at right complete this outstanding design. Trivial 1/16" cello separation visible only on reverse at 5 o'clock that likely occurred in manufacturing.
