Item Description
.75". Clasped hands draped in an American flag banner. Superb color and almost no surface wear. Essentially Mint. We are unsure of the exact date of this button but note that Texans voted down a state prohibition amendment on the ballot in 1911 and a swell of anti-prohibition support between 1917-1919 existed in the Southern region of the state. Texas was the 8th state to ratify the 18th Amendment on March 4, 1918. By 1920 almost all saloons had been shut down.
