Item Description
9.25x12-5/8" album w/40 pages, containing complete set of 240 full color cards; each is 2.25x3" and mounted at appropriate spots. Issued in Spain by Editorial Rollan, Madrid, 1950s. Pages feature Spanish captions by each card. Each page has additional images at center of page that correlates to that portion of the story. Album shows scattered handling wear w/vertical crease at center of front cover and 2" area of scuffing on back cover w/1" V-shaped tear. Pages have aged. Album is Fine overall, cards remain clean and EX. In addition to album, lot comes w/28 pieces of pen and ink original art for those central images; 17 of which feature major characters like Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Geppetto, Foulfellow and Gideon. Art is on different sized paper, most between 3x4" and 3x5.5". Each piece has correlating handwritten number. Clean and Exc. art. A truly unique lot for this scarce card album.
