Item Description
9.5" tall solid plaster figurine depicting Donald Duck as golfer. From a series of Disney figurines produced in the 1940s by English company Leonardi. Modeled after an Italian figurine by Zaccagnini, this English figurine is identical in size and design to the Zaccagnini figurine although solid plaster rather than ceramic. One of three different Donald as golfer figurines, this one depicts him posed about to swing his golf club, a ball resting on the front of the base. Has removable metal golf club. Underside has Leonardi/Disney stamps. Back of base also has incised "W/8" mark. Figurine and club show scattered paint flakes and some scattered wear. Fine overall. Rare.
