Item Description
14x18" frame contains watercolor specialty original art of popular DC Comics character Harley Quinn. Art is by comic book artist Dan Brereton, noted for his skills as a painter and his distinctive character designs, working on DC comics as well as his most famous work, his own series The Nocturnals. Art has been professionally matted to 9.25x12.25" and framed under glass. Art depicts Harley Quinn in her classic costume, holding a Joker jester's cane and has been signed by Brereton at lower left, Brereton adding "93" date. This is significant as Harley Quinn had made her debut on Batman: The Animated Series on Sept. 11, 1992 before first appearing in the pages of Batman Adventures #12 in Sept. 1993, making this an early specialty piece featuring a then-new character, whose popularity only continues to grow. Displays Exc. as framed and ready for display.
