Item Description
12.25x16-1/8" artboard has mixed media original art for cover of 1961 British The Lone Ranger Annual comic, distributed by World Distributors. Art is by Walt Howarth (1928-2008), a British illustrator best known for his work on numerous British comic annuals (most of them for World Distributors) in a career that spanned 60 years. Art shows Lone Ranger on Silver, leaping off wooden bridge to escape armed posse. Art has hand-painted "Lone Ranger" mask title at top and Howarth has signed at lower left. Exc.
