Item Description
17-3/8x21.75" double-mat contains mixed media original art for cover to Combat #16, published by Dell April-June 1965. Art is by Jack Faragasso, who has been painting for over 50 years, providing cover art for many paperbacks as well as instructing art students w/The Art Student's League of New York. Art has been double-matted to 12-1/8x16.5" and shows World War II China Sea battle, w/Allied sailor clinging to wreckage as Japanese bombers attack Allied destroyers in bkg. Tiny sailor images can be seen leaping from the bow of the exploding ship. Exc.
