Item Description
19.25x19.75" double-mat contains 14x16.5" sheet of art paper featuring mixture of colored pencil and watercolor for Aquaman card from Upper Deck's 2007 DC Comics Vs. System trading card game. Art features large full figure image of Aquaman in his classic costume, astride his trusty seahorse steed Storm, using his telepathic sea powers to summon a veritable menagerie of sea life. This includes Aquaman's octopus sidekick Topo, eels, a humpback whale, orcas, dolphins and a variety of sharks. Art is by Craig Hamilton, whose first DC Comics assignment was the 1986 Aquaman miniseries, which saw Aquaman don a new (but short-lived costume) for the first time. Hamilton has signed his stylized initials at lower right. Exc. and ready for framing as matted w/an example of the actual card this art was produced for. Exc.
