Item Description
3.75x6.75x1" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid holds 1948 Wilane watch. First version of box issued and features photos on lid and die-cut insert matching watch dial. Lid has scattered corner tip/edge wear w/.5" surface paper flake at lower left and scattered faint moisture staining/spotting. Box bottom has large puncture/tears. VG. Insert has some creasing and scattered small surface nicks. VG/Fine. Comes w/original guarantee paper; which shows wear w/tears/chips to top margin. 1x1.25" silver luster watch case w/original tooled leather straps. Case back reads "Always Your Pal - Gene Autry." Running. Case shows some scattered aging/wear w/small spot of residue on back of case. Dial has even aging but remains clean and hands glow. Bands show some wear from use. Fine overall. Rarer than Wilane's second version.
