Item Description
25x29.5" frame contains mixed media original art for cover to The Lone Ranger's Companion Tonto #32, published by Dell Aug.-Oct. 1958. Art is not signed and could be by either Dan Spaulding or Morris Gollub, both of whom were provided Lone Ranger comic cover art at this time. Art shows Tonto reacting in alarm to renegade Native American, who hurtles boulder down on him from above. Tonto protects medicine bundle held in his hand. Art has been professionally double-matted to 12x17" under Plexiglas alongside reading copy of the comic this art was created for. Bottom corners of art have some glue/tape staining, but this blends somewhat. Displays VF as framed.
