Item Description
11x14.5". Transparent art sheet. Early sketches done c. 1981 at the time Russ was chosen to do the art for the re-introduction of The Lone Ranger daily strip. He worked on this from 1981-84. Russ is best known for his comic book work, particularly his DC Comic war stories. This sheet has pen and ink portraits of The Lone Ranger and his alter ego John Reid. Also image of Lone Ranger on Silver one-half finished in ink, rest just in pencil. Sheet has aging and long creases. Fine but art remains Exc.
