Item Description
5.5x8.5" each. First is ten pages including wrapper and was published by " US Organization" the group founded by author Maulana Ron Karenga who founded the celebration in 1966 after the Watts Riots as a specifically African American holiday. Text concludes "Kwanzaa Is Such A Self-Determined Expression And Creation, A Cultural And Political Statement, Designed, Developed And Projected By Us, A Cultural And Political Act That Unites Us And Strengthens Us In Our Struggle." Age toning along spine, scattered pencil corrections and minor handling wear. Exc. Second was published in 1972 by the "Institute Of Positive Education" w/illustration throughout the 12 pages and wrapper. Separation at bottom of spine, moderate even age and handling. Fine.
