Item Description
6.75" tall (7.5" to top of raised hand) doll w/velveteen covered hard body doll and glass eyes depicts Mickey Mouse as he appeared in his earliest animated shorts. Unmarked, but German, early 1930s. Doll has arms bent at 90 degree angles and appear to have been glued at shoulders. This is partially obscured by original satin ribbon around neck. inner wire armature in arms and legs as well as tail. Felt eyes. Doll is evenly aged and shows moderate wear w/repaired split to back of one shoe and scattered insect holes on back of pants. Tail also shows scattered wear. VG overall. Stands well for display. Rare and first we've offered in our 54 years.
