Item Description
Lot of four 10x12" animation sheets featuring lead/colored pencil original art from 1938 Silly Symphony featuring caricatures of many Hollywood celebrities of the day. Two sheets show W.C. Fields while another shows just his discarded top hat and other sheet features Charlie McCarthy. Drawing No. 33 has 4x5.25" image area featuring W.C. Fields as Humpty Dumpty, angrily swinging his cane. Sheet has extensive productions notations. Drawing No. 56 has 3.25x3-3/8" image area and shows Fields clutching his nose. Drawing 56A has 1.5x3.25" image area and shows Charlie McCarthy sitting in Field's top hat. Drawing No. 33A has 1-7/8x1.75" image area showing Fields' top hat. All have some lt. aging/handling but are clean w/Exc. art.
