Item Description
18x24" print letterpress printed in 10 colors on archival handmade Twinrocker "Chapin" stock (similar to newsprint and somewhat fragile) features comic artist Daniel Clowes' initial cover design for his solo anthology comic Eightball #23, featuring his Death Ray character. Print was published in a limited edition of 100 by the now defunct Buenaventura Press, ©2003. Lower left has been hand-numbered "19/100" in pencil and lower right has been signed in pencil by Clowes. Print has even lt. aging and some minor edge creases at top/bottom corners. Would make for Exc. frame display. From the collection of Chip Kidd, renowned author, graphic designer and pop culture enthusiast extraordinaire.
