Item Description
27x40" one-sheet poster for the original release of the 1948 Columbia 15 chapter serial starring Kirk Alyn as Superman. For Chapter 1, "Superman Comes To Earth." Poster features choice artwork plus inset film scene, featuring The Kents (Edward Cassidy and Virginia Caroll) finding the infant Superman in his crashed rocket. Poster was folded as issued and has since been linen-mounted and is now rolled. Poster exhibits all over fade and margin trimming to top and bottom. Several pin holes at corners w/some color touch-ups to pin holes within color fields of poster. Some lt. scattered touch-ups along fold lines. Still a very displayable example of this classic Superman poster, especially for a desirable first chapter example.
