Item Description
14x22-1/8" artboard features pen and ink original art by Maurice Whitman for page 5 from Jungle Comics #152, published by Fiction House Aug. 1952. Artboard features seven panels from The Rogue Of Kopje Kull story and shows white hunters (one of whom smokes skull-shaped pipe) mistreating native guides on his quest to "Kill That Devil Elephant, Old Thunder." Last panel features Kaanga leaping to rescue of whipped native. Top margin has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers. Bottom margin has grease pencil repeated information. Artboard is evenly aged and has scattered margin editorial notes as well as some scattered staining. Top left corner has crease but art remains clean and VF.
