14x17" presentation mount w/10x13" opening framing the silver gelatin print that is signed and inscribed in black ink "To Charlie Ranfield Best Wishes Harry S. Truman." Candid image of Truman accepting a card from Ranfield. Reverse has applied news clipping of Ranfield and Truman at Christmas in 1948 and a post featuring Ranfield. Scattered and faint moisture marks and moderate age toning to mount, Fine. Image has some emulsion scratches and moderate handling wear. Signature remains bold and legible. VF. Truman used the famed Kansas City, Missouri hotel's penthouse from the time of his Vice Presidential nomination until he left the presidency in 1953 and celebrated his upset victory in the 1948 campaign there.
