7x8.75". Letter from twelve days after Truman ascended to the presidency in the wake of FDR's death. Truman writes "My Dear Jack: It Is Indeed Helpful To Me To Receive Such Assurances Of Confidence And Support From My Friends. Many Thanks For Your Thoughtful Letter." Signed at conclusion in black fountain pen ink "Harry." Horizontal fold not affecting signature. Otherwise only light handling wear. Exc.
