1.25". Curl has apparent name of photo copyright holder "©Baker MGT Service, 122 N. 50th St., Phila." In addition, curl has name of button maker "Phila. Badge Co." Great photo of Robinson in Dodgers uniform. Jackie Robinson made his Major League debut on April 15, 1947 for Branch Rickey's Brooklyn Dodgers, becoming the first African American ballplayer in the modern Major Leagues. Robinson would go on to win the National League Rookie of the Year award in 1947 and would follow that up with an NL MVP award two years later, in 1949. A six-time All-Star and World Series champ in 1955. Robinson was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962. Pinpoint nick on white bkg. to the right of image, lt. surface wear upon magnification. Still totally bright and glossy w/strong red color, no fading of the lettering. A desirable Jackie button, the Muchinsky example in our May 2021 auction sold for $792.
