20x24" linen mounted to 22x25.5". Published by "Pride, Inc." of Washington, DC c. 1970. Signed in print at lower right of graphic "Battle." Allegorical depiction of Malcolm X combating a large serpent who has trapped a group of African Americans. Pride Inc. was a civil rights group founded in 1967 by future Washington, DC mayor Marion Barry. Restoration to clean minor staining at edges. VF. Only the third we've encountered this powerful image that will frame beautifully.
