Item Description
18x24" proof stock w/effects image used in the opening sequence of the hit NBC TV series that aired from Sept. 1974 through March 1978. The series revolves around Sgt. "Pepper" Anderson (Angie Dickinson), an undercover police officer working for the Criminal Conspiracy Unit of the Los Angeles Police Department. Sergeant William "Bill" Crowley (Earl Holliman) was her immediate superior, and Pete Royster and Joe Styles were the other half of the undercover team that investigated various crimes. In many episodes, Pepper went undercover to get close enough to the suspects to gain valuable information that would lead to their arrest. Great image of Dickinson in center of graphic with pistol. Board has lt. aging/wear, two holes at top from hanging, some minor wrinkling and staining along bottom that goes into image shadow area. Also incudes two clear acetate sheets with "Police Woman" font logo, hand painted lettering in yellow and black (used for dropshadow). Lt. aging/wear, scattered black tape along edges. All pieces VG. Interesting trio and one of a kind used in creating the opening sequence of the TV show animatics, long before computer graphics. Great to frame and display.
