Item Description
Pair of 10.75x14" Crescent Illustration boards feature pen and ink original art by Gilbert Shelton, a cartoonist and a key member of the Underground Comix movement. Shelton was the creator of the iconic Underground characters The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Fat Freddy's Cat and Wonder Wart-Hog. Art was inked by Tony Bell. This original art is for complete two-page The Adventures Of Bull O'Fuzz story published in unknown issue of DRAG Cartoons, late 1967. "O'Fuzz And The Electric Granny-Lady" story has Bull O'Fuzz commandeering an old woman's electric cart to give chase to robbers. Firing an errant warning shot, O'Fuzz clips some electric wires, which super-charges the cart. Both artboards have page number notations at lower right. Artboards hae some corner tip wear but art remains clean and Exc. Backs of artboards have Shelton's personal inkstamp. From the Archives of Publisher Pete Millar.
