Item Description
27-5/8x36-7/8" offset litho American release poster on glossy paper featuring explosive and colorful psychedelic art by Australian artist Martin Sharp, showing Jimi Hendrix playing riff on his guitar. Fittingly referred to as "Explosion," this poster was sold in head shops of the era. Bottom left has small "MS16 Hendrix by Martin Sharp - Published by Big O Posters Ltd., 219 Eversleigh Road London SW11 5UY 01-228-3392 - Printed in England" while lower right has small "Big O Posters Inc. Box 6186. Charlottesville VA, 22906 USA - 804-295-0566" text. Poster has been rolled and has some scattered handling wear, including faint 6.5" crease between Hendrix's hands. Extreme margins and top right corner show wear, but poster would display VF if framed.
